ABOUT STONY REBEL

Tiny Rebel is dead. Long live Stony Rebel.

Stony's predecessor, Tiny Rebel built a name on hooks, hype, and a run of tracks that really shaped his sound. There was history behind it too: a background in hard house DJing, international sets, back when the UK rave and acid house scene was still writing its own rules.

Tiny Rebel wasn't a start, it was a continuation of decades already spent in the culture.

But Tiny Rebel ran its course. The final album, Catalogue of Apathy, was less a swan song and more a statement of intent, apathy as the last word before the reinvention. And then it was gone. Targeted, terminated, replaced.

Stony Rebel is what's left when you strip out the safety net. Heavier. harder. music with rock DNA bolted through it. The old skool rave scene in the bloodstream, real sounds cutting through the low end instead of sitting on top of it.

It's not a reinvention for the sake of it. It's what happens when someone with real time served in the scene stops playing it safe.
